John Mulaney returned to host Saturday Night Live for a third time, and stole the show as Joe Biden in the show's Cold Open, notes Mashable, "wearing a flashy South Carolina sash (as the real Biden logged a win in Saturday's primary in that state) and rambling on about new teeth." The show spoofed the Democratic presidential contenders vis a vis the coronavirus outbreak, with Fred Armisen returning as Mike Bloomberg, Larry David as Bernie Sanders, and Rachel Dratch as Amy Klobuchar. Mulaney later "brought the joy" in an eight-minute stand-up monologue, and "was the cure for what’s ailing us" in what Karen Valby at Vanity Fair calls a "soaring episode." David Byrne, the "benevolent king of cool," was musical guest. Video highlights in the gallery. (More Saturday Night Live stories.)
