How much would you pay to satisfy a Chick-fil-A craving? For the cross country track team at New York's Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, about $18 apiece, it turns out. The scheme is more impressive than the tab: With a week off from running, the team members decided they really wanted Chick-fil-A. Thing is, the location closest to Troy is the one in the Albany Airport—past security, reports WTEN. The next closest location? Ninety minutes away.

So team captain Vincent Putrino did some research and found the cheapest flight available: a one-way ticket from Albany to Fort Lauderdale for $98. He bought the ticket, cruised through security, and spent another $227 on 15 chicken sandwiches, 15 large fries, 13 orders of chicken nuggets, a bag of cookies, and a lemonade, for a grand total of about $325, which was divided by 18 seemingly satisfied runners. WTEN has plenty of photos here. (Firefighters had to rescue a teen who took a Chick-fil-A dare.)
