In a Monday interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, rocker Ozzy Osbourne revealed that 2019 hadn't been a great year for him. In fact, "[it] was the worst, longest, most painful, miserable year of my life," he said, noting that he'd had a bad fall and hospitalization for the flu, per the New York Post. On Tuesday, the 71-year-old's chat with Roberts continued, and this time he made an even bigger reveal: He has Parkinson's, ABC News reports. "It's PRKN 2," wife Sharon Osbourne explained. "There's so many different types of Parkinson's; it's not a death sentence, by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it's like you have a good day, a good day, and then a really bad day." Ozzy himself piped in: "A year ago next month, I was in a shocking state."

Osbourne told Roberts that he canceled his tour after his diagnosis and holed up to recover, which spurred whispers that he was dying—a rumor his daughter, 35-year-old Kelly, attacked on her Instagram story, per the Post: "It's no secret that my dad has had a rough year when it comes to his health but come the f--- on, this is utter bulls--t." Ozzy has been taking meds for Parkinson's and nerve pills, as doctors had cut some of his nerves while he underwent surgery after his fall, and Sharon Osbourne says they've even reached out to overseas medical professionals. "So in April, we're going to a professional in Switzerland," she told Roberts. "He deals with ... getting your immune system at its peak." What's been helping Ozzy push through it all, besides the support of his family: his fans. "They're my air," he told Roberts. "I just hope they hang on and they're there for me, because I need them."
