The "jobs of tomorrow" are here—or, at least the ones that look the most promising for 2020. LinkedIn has published its third annual "Emerging Jobs Report," which took all public profiles of LinkedIn members who've held a full-time job over the past five years, then looked at hiring stats and growth rates for each occupation, to determine the fastest-growing jobs in the US. The roundup also includes the skills tied to each job, as well as the cities and industries where interested parties may have the best chance for employment. Artificial intelligence is the top pick, with a hefty 74% growth rate; engineering jobs are also hot. Quartz notes one job on the list doesn't require a four-year degree: behavioral health technician, which has likely seen a boost due to increased insurance coverage for mental health. Here, the top 10 emerging jobs in America, along with their annual growth rates:
- Artificial intelligence specialist, 74%
- Robotics engineer, 40%
- Data scientist, 37%
- Full stack engineer, 35%
- Site reliability engineer, 34%
- Customer success specialist, 34%
- Sales development representative, 34%
