It's been a banner year for Hoda Kotb: The Today co-host adopted her second daughter in April, and now she's engaged. Kotb, 55, announced Monday on the morning show that she and financier Joel Schiffman, 61, who've been together for six years, are getting hitched. "My heart has literally been pounding" since he proposed on the beach during a tropical vacation this weekend, she said. "I was totally shocked. He had a good poker face." She added that she hasn't yet told daughters Haley Joy, 2, and baby Hope Catherine. Though Schiffman wasn't named in Kotb's adoption of Haley Joy, she said at the time that the little girl would be calling him "Dad," People reports. "How am I going to explain [to the girls] your parents are going to get married?" she joked Monday. (More Hoda Kotb stories.)
