After the New England Patriots released Antonio Brown in September amid sexual assault allegations, the wide receiver didn't exactly take it well online, putting up posts (which he mostly took down later) ranting against the NFL. Now, after a brief hiatus from publicly airing his grievances, Brown was back at it Thursday, per USA Today. "[Expletive] @nfl I'm going down another path no more making money off my blood and sweat!" he wrote in a post on Instagram, which he soon took down. "No more control of my name and body clear my name I am done with it! So you fantasy [expletive] can let it go." Meanwhile, on Twitter, Brown put up this also-now-deleted post: "Imagine conforming to a system giving it a 100 percent to see them treat me like this is unfairly! Making money off my sweat and blood F--- the @nfl I'll never play in that s--- treat black people the worse! Clear my name and go f--- your self."
Then, a weary mea culpa of sorts. "I'm just very frustrated right now with the false allegations and slander to my name," Brown tweeted. "I love football and I miss it. I just want to play and I'm very emotional about that. I'm determined to make my way back to the NFL asap." ESPN notes that just hours before Brown's online diatribe, a source told reporter Josina Anderson that Brown was scheduled to meet in person with league officials next Thursday. The NFL is still in the midst of looking into multiple sexual assault allegations against him. Anderson says sources tell her "teams [are] still interested in signing him pending the resolution of the league's investigation." (More Antonio Brown stories.)
