West Point cadet Kade Kurita didn't show up to a military skills competition Friday night, and he'd been missing ever since. On Tuesday night, the 20-year-old's body was found on the grounds of the New York military academy, CBS News reports. The Gardena, Calif., native's cause of death hasn't yet been confirmed, but foul play isn't suspected, authorities say. "We are grieving this loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to Cadet Kurita's family and friends," says the academy's superintendent in a Facebook post. West Point had previously announced Kurita's M4 rifle was missing, though he wasn't believed to have any magazines or ammo; it was speculated he may be a danger to himself. Officials haven't said what became of the rifle, NBC News reports. (More West Point stories.)
