American Sprinter Breaks Usain Bolt's Medal Record

American sprinter Allyson Felix smashed another record at the track and field World Championships on Sunday—and she did so just 10 months after giving birth. The 33-year-old won gold with the mixed-gender 4x400m relay team Sunday, giving her a record 12 World Championship gold medals, one more than Usain Bolt, CNN reports. This was her first gold since she gave birth to daughter Camryn on Nov. 28 last year after an emergency C-section. "So special, to have my daughter here watching means the world to me," Felix told NBC after the win in Doha. Felix, who already held the record for most overall World Championships medals, is the only female track and field athlete to win six Olympic gold medals—and is expected to compete again in Tokyo next year.
