It's a publicity stunt, but those who binge on horror flicks in the lead-up to Halloween might be interested. USDish will pay one person $1,300 to watch 13 Stephen King movies by Oct. 31 and log details about the experience, reports CBS News. The company will provide a FitBit so the participant can track his or her heart rate and other vitals. As Mental Floss notes, more than 40 King books have been turned into movies, but USDish has chosen the 13 to be watched.
They are: Carrie (original or 2013 remake), Children of the Corn, Christine, Creepshow, Cujo, Dreamcatcher, It (original or 2017 remake), The Mist, Pet Sematary, (original or 2019 remake), Salem's Lot, The Shining, Thinner, and Misery. Those interested can apply here by explaining what makes them the perfect candidate. (See what movie critics are saying about the next installment of It.)
