When Demi Moore was a child, her family moved around the country before landing in Southern California. At age 15, she was raped. That ended her childhood, she says, and she shortly moved out to live with a musician. Much later, when Moore began dating the younger actor Ashton Kucher, it felt “a do-over," she says. "Like I could just go back in time and experience what it was like to be young, with him — much more so than I’d ever been able to experience it when I was actually in my twenties." The account is included in Moore's memoir, Inside Out, which she discussed with the New York Times.

Moore also was married to Bruce Willis, with whom she had three daughters. Willis wasn't sure whether he wanted to be married, she said, per People, and thought her career took her away from her family too much. Moore addresses a miscarriage and her battles with addiction; she went through rehab in the '80s and later struggled with alcohol and Vicodin. She's sober now, she told the Times. The actress, 56, let her children read the book before she turned it in. They didn't ask her to make any changes, per US Weekly. "Obviously, as we grow older, we start to realize how much our parents are just people," her daughter Rumer said. (More Demi Moore stories.)
