(AP Photo/PGJQR) The former Survivor producer convicted of murdering his wife during a family vacation to Cancun in 2010 is once again a free man. Bruce Beresford-Redman went on trial in Mexico and was sentenced to 12 years; he served just seven in a Quintana Roo prison and was released two months ago, KTLA reports. NBC Los Angeles reports he got credit for good behavior and also paid $2,000 in restitution. "Thanks, I really have no comment. I appreciate your interest," he said when KTLA found him outside his Southern California home. "Thank you. There's no comment." Beresford-Redman has always maintained his innocence. Restaurant owner Monica Burgos was found naked in a septic tank at the high-end resort where the couple was staying, on her 42nd birthday. She'd been beaten and strangled. The couple's two children, who were 5 and 7 when their mother was killed and were in Cancun with their parents at the time, per Deadline, have been living with Beresford-Redman's parents at the home Beresford-Redman and Burgos shared; his father died in 2018. The New York Post reports it's that home Beresford-Redman has now returned to. (More Bruce Beresford-Redman stories.) Report an error
