Hitchhiker's Guide Is Once Again Coming to the Small Screen

Douglas Adams' iconic A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is coming to the small screen—for the second time. A "modern updating of the classic story" centering on Arthur Dent and his adventures after Earth is destroyed by aliens is being developed for Hulu, Deadline reports. As the Daily Dot notes, Adams first wrote the series as a radio comedy for the BBC; from there, it became a stage show, the famous series of novels, a UK television show in 1981, and a 2005 film starring Martin Freeman, Zooey Deschanel, and Sam Rockwell. The latest iteration will hail from showrunner Carlton Cuse of Lost fame and feature writer Jason Fuchs, both of whom are fans of the series. (More Hulu stories.)
