US / Bonnaroo A Death Again Mars Bonnaroo 27-year-old found unresponsive in campground, apparently had pre-existing condition By Polly Davis Doig, Newser Staff Posted Jun 16, 2019 6:09 AM CDT Copied Festival goers attend the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival on Saturday, June 15, 2019, in Manchester, Tenn. (Photo by Amy Harris/Invision/AP) A 27-year-old man died Saturday at Bonnaroo, dealing the music festival its second concertgoer death in as many years, reports the Tennessean. The man was found unresponsive at a campsite where he was camping with his father; festival officials say its EMT team was on the scene within minutes and administered CPR, but the man later died at a hospital. A determination of his cause of death is pending, but Bonnaroo officials say it appears he had a pre-existing condition. "We understand that he had an underlying medical condition," a Bonnaroo rep tells the Manchester Times. "We have no further information at this time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends." A 32-year-old man died of an overdose at the festival last year. (More Bonnaroo stories.) Report an error
