In the wake of the Game of Thrones finale, sites are running lists assessing the most controversial finales of all time. USA Today, for example, puts Game of Thrones and Seinfeld in its worst five. Now, a star from the latter is offering support to stars of the former, notes HuffPo. "Dear #GOT company, I know a little something about finales and disappointed fans," writes Alexander. "My advice: live in joy that you are part of something that moves people so. You were all magnificent. My family and I loved it all. Thanks."
Seinfeld, of course, was widely panned at the time for its final episode, in which the main characters end up in jail for violating a Good Samaritans law. The positive reaction to Alexander's tweet includes those defending the episode 20 years later. Both shows might take heart to know that neither ranks as the "worst" finale in the eyes of USA Today, which bestows that dishonor on How I Met Your Mother. Dexter and Lost also show up on such lists regularly, as in this one from Esquire. (More Game of Thrones stories.)
