If you named your baby after a certain Game of Thrones character, you might be wondering how hard it is to get a legal name change after last night's episode of the HBO series. And there's a decent chance someone reading this did give their baby that name, or another one from George RR Martin's creation, because new Social Security Administration data reveals that more than 4,500 US babies were given GoT-linked names last year—up from 3,800 in 2017 and 3,200 in 2016. (Those numbers exclude babies named Jon or Jaime). In the top spot: Arya, a name bestowed on 2,545 babies born in the US last year, though NBC News notes that maybe not all of those were inspired by Thrones, since "Arya is a name used internationally."
