A trip-and-fall marred Vladimir Putin's victory lap Friday. The Russian president and amateur hockey player was skating around a rink, waving to fans, when his skates caught on a rug and he tumbled onto the ice. Other skaters tried to warn Putin, but couldn't reach him in time, Business Insider reports. Putin got right back up and resumed skating.
Other than that, Putin had a good day. The 66-year-old played in an annual exhibition game in Sochi on a team with former NHL players, including Slava Fetisov and Pavel Bure, per WGN. Part of the tradition is Putin having a fine game: He scored eight goals Friday. His defense minister had a hat trick. (In a past game, Putin looked bad but still managed to score six goals.)
