A worker at a northern California lumber yard was probably confused when he found a prosthetic leg on the ground Monday. Meanwhile, a man identified only as Dion was wondering where his prosthetic leg had gone after he lost it while skydiving from 10,000 feet in the air Sunday; he and his friends looked around the area they landed but couldn't locate it. Both mysteries were solved after the lumber yard worker called the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office to investigate the leg, which was wearing a blue Nike shoe, CNN reports.

Authorities contacted a nearby airport to connect the dots, then reunited prosthetic and owner, they reported in a Facebook post. "He was thankful to get his $15k leg back and was even more thankful it didn’t land on anyone or break anything," it reads. "He promises to make a tether and learn from this but fully plans to stick with his passion." (A girl without hands won a national handwriting award.)
