Kellyanne Conway crossed swords with Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace over the question that keeps coming up: As Wallace put it, "Why is your husband attacking your boss?" Kellyanne was initially measured in discussing husband George Conway—a "vocal critic" of President Trump, per Rolling Stone—saying that "you could ask my husband. But it doesn't affect my job." That's when Wallace asked if George's anti-Trump comments have damaged their marriage. "Oh, Chris, what are you, Oprah now?" she asked. "I mean, what am I, on a couch and you are a psychiatrist? I think it's a really inappropriate question, and here's why. That's the line over which nobody should have crossed."
Their back-and-forth turned up other nuggets, like Wallace asking if Kellyanne thought George was "cyberbullying" her to get her to leave the administration, per USA Today. "Some people think that," she said. "My first line of protection in this world is and will always be my four children. So, I don't really like to discuss this publicly." The exchange also revealed a bit of harder news, that—according to Kellyanne—George Conway withdrew his name from consideration for a White House job, whereas Trump claims he turned George down. "What I will tell you is that George was very supportive of President Trump, cried on election night in his MAGA hat, blocks away from here at the Hilton in New York, wanted to take a job in the Trump administration and changed his mind," said Kellyanne.
