"I came in [the house] and told my wife, 'I think we've got a dead body out there.' She thought I was kidding." George Hollingsworth wasn't. The Marion, Ind., man was on Wednesday cleaning up his garage, which he suspected had been broken into the previous day. The space was clutter-filled, so any theft wasn't readily apparent, but the garage door frame had been damaged. What he found was grim: a toppled-over 900-pound antique floor safe with a body beneath it.

A police press release describes the safe as having been "suspended by a floor jack." ABC News reports the Marion Fire Department helped hoist the safe, and the body found beneath it was identified Thursday night as Jeremiah Disney, 28. "I would have rather seen him steal stuff and get out than die like that. What a horrible way to die," Hollingsworth tells Fox59. And there was nothing in the safe to steal: Hollingsworth inherited it from his dad, but it's empty. (More strange stuff stories.)
