Irish mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor has been arrested in the US again, this time for allegedly stealing and smashing a fan's phone outside a Florida hotel. According to a police report seen by the BBC, the 30-year-old was involved in an altercation outside the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel at around 5:20am Monday, just after the hotel's nightclub closed. "The victim attempted to take a picture of the defendant with his cell phone. The defendant slapped the victim's phone out of his hand, causing it to fall to the floor," the report states.
"The defendant then stomped on the victim's phone several times, damaging it. The defendant then picked up the victim's phone and walked away with it," the report continues. Police say McGregor was arrested and charged with strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief. He was released from jail after posting $12,500 bail. TMZ reports that the fighter "dodged a bullet" by days: He recently completed probation, which included anger management classes, for an attack on a bus carrying other fighters in New York City last year. If he had been arrested before his probation ended, he could have faced deportation. (More Conor McGregor stories.)
