Cardi B didn't appear to be pleased when her estranged husband crashed her performance in LA Saturday night (sample headline: "Offset interrupted Cardi B on stage and she was not having it"). But she's also not pleased with how fans are reacting to the moment, in which Migos rapper Offset presented her with flowers reading "TAKE ME BACK CARDI." In a video posted to Instagram Sunday, the rapper thanked fans for their support but asked them to back off on the vitriol directed at her ex, noting that "violating my baby father is not gonna make me feel any better 'cuz at the end of the day that's still family." In a follow-up video, she clarified this doesn't mean she Offset are getting back together, but "I just don't like that bashing online thing."
During Cardi's headlining set at the Rolling Loud festival, Offset told her he wanted to apologize to her "in front of the world," NBC News reports. (There have long been rumors of Offset cheating; in a tweet, he noted, "All of my wrongs have been made public, i figure It’s only right that my apologies are made public too.") Whatever she said to him in response, the audience couldn't hear, but it appeared she wasn't going for it, BuzzFeed reports. After the stunt, Rolling Loud said "headliners and their teams have full control of the stage and who is allowed on," and a video emerged showing Cardi's own publicist leading Offset on stage. Fans then started bashing her for allowing Offset's stunt, leading Cardi to issue a similar defense of her publicist. Sources tell TMZ Cardi herself did not know Offset would be coming onstage.
