YouTube Suffers Worldwide Outage

It wasn't just you: YouTube suffered a worldwide outage Tuesday night that lasted around two hours. The site tweeted around 9pm to thank users for their "reports about YouTube, YouTube TV, and YouTube Music access issues," and announced it was back at 11pm, CBS News reports. There has been no comment from the world's second most popular website on the cause of the outage. The BBC reports that other parts of the Internet were full of YouTube users complaining or joking about the "mild panic" they were experiencing—which apparently hit Philadelphia especially hard. "No, please don't call 911—we can't fix it," tweeted the city's police department. (An Amazon employee's typo took large sections of the Internet offline last year.)
