It was more than a rare win. It was a marketing touchdown for Bud Light. The Cleveland Browns beat the New York Jets Thursday night, which just happened to be the team's first victory in 635 days, reports NPR. Or, as its headline puts it, the Browns won "For First Time Since Obama Presidency." As Ad Age notes, the 21-17 win also brings an end to a headline-generating ad campaign for Bud Light, which had placed locked coolers of beer around the city before the start of the season and promised to open them when the Browns finally won. The team tied in week one, lost in week two, and finally won in week three, freeing the beer from the coolers. See the celebration here. (More Cleveland Browns stories.)
