Celebrity / Asia Argento CNN Yanks Argento Episodes of Anthony Bourdain Show Network says it's 'in light of recent news reports' By Rob Quinn, Newser Staff Posted Sep 3, 2018 1:57 AM CDT Copied In this May 19, 2018 photo, actress Asia Argento gestures during the closing ceremony of the 71st international film festival in Cannes, France. (Vianney Le Caer/Invision/AP, FIle) CNN has removed episodes of Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown involving Asia Argento, the girlfriend the late chef met on the show. The network says the episodes—two filmed in her native Italy, which she appeared in, and one from Hong Kong, which she directed—were pulled from the CNN GO streaming service due to allegations that she sexually assaulted former co-star Jimmy Bennett when he was underage, TMZ reports. Argento and Bourdain first met while filming an episode of the show in Rome. "In light of the recent news reports about Asia Argento, CNN will discontinue airing past episodes of Parts Unknown that included her, until further notice," a CNN spokesperson tells BuzzFeed. CNN has also removed an episode in which Bourdain, who killed himself in June, visited a therapist in Buenos Aires and spoke about his depression. (Argento says the accusations are false and Bennett demanded money because Bourdain was "a man of great perceived wealth.") Report an error
