Chris Rock is returning to FX, but don't expect any standup. The funny man will star in season four of Fargo as the head of a black crime family in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1950, Variety reports. The show will depict Rock's syndicate and an Italian family in an uneasy peace after they traded eldest sons to solidify their entente. But everything changes when the city's top mafioso dies during a routine surgery. Showrunner Noah Hawley—who said last year he couldn't imagine a fourth season of Fargo—will be back to helm the award-winning series, reports Deadline. Sounds like a plus for Rock: "I'm a fan of Fargo and I can't wait to work with Noah," he says. Rock previously executive produced Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell for FX from 2012 to 2013.
