Comcast customers across the country are having a rough day with cable and internet. The giant provider initially took note of widespread service outages and explained that a fiber line had been cut. Then the explanation got worse: “We identified two, separate and unrelated fiber cuts to our network backbone providers," said the company, via CNBC. It didn't have an ETA on when service would be fully back for everyone affected, and the company didn't provide details on which of its providers were affected. Comcast relies on such partners to distribute its services across the US.
