Sean Spicer's New Gig: Talk Show Host

Good news for anybody who didn't get enough of Sean Spicer when he was White House press secretary: Sources tell the Hollywood Reporter that producers are working with him to develop a talk show and are trying to get a network interested. In Sean Spicer's Common Ground, Spicer would meet "interesting and thoughtful public figures for a drink and some lite conversation at a local pub or cafe," according to a pitch sheet seen by the New York Times. "In this current environment, I think it's important to have a platform where we can have civil, respectful, and informative discussions on the issues of the day," Spicer tells the Times. Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels' attorney, says he was approached by the production team to appear in the pilot—and turned them down. (News networks cited Spicer's "lack of credibility" when they decided against hiring him as a paid contributor.)
