President Trump is still waiting for that apology from Bob Iger. Trump first showed some resentment Wednesday after the target of Roseanne Barr's racist tweet, Valerie Jarrett, got an apology from the Disney CEO while Iger has never called Trump "to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC." The president returned to the subject on Twitter Thursday. "Iger, where is my call of apology? ... How is Brian Ross doing? He tanked the market with an ABC lie, yet no apology. Double Standard!" he wrote.
USA Today reports it's a reference to December's incorrect report from Disney's ABC News that Trump asked Michael Flynn to make contact with Russians while he was running for president. Reporter Brian Ross later issued a correction stating Trump wasn't a candidate, but rather president-elect, when he gave Flynn those instructions. "We deeply regret and apologize for the serious error we made," ABC said at the time. Addressing Iger, Trump added in his tweet, "You and ABC have offended millions of people, and they demand a response." Minutes later, Trump repeated claims there were spies in his campaign and stated, "I never fired James Comey because of Russia!" (More President Trump stories.)
