Hawking's Ashes Will Rest Next to a Scientific Great

Stephen Hawking's final resting place will be among other famous scientists like Sir Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin. Hawking's ashes will be interred at London’s Westminster Abbey, next to Newton's grave, at a Thanksgiving ceremony later this year, the Abbey has revealed. The Dean of Westminster said the location was "entirely fitting." A private funeral service will also be held for Hawking, who died March 14, at Great St. Mary's church at the University of Cambridge on March 31, reports the BBC. "He was an integral and highly recognizable part of the university and the city.
