Clinton Strategist Blasts 'Unfair' Obama Camp

Hillary Clinton's campaign isn't the rough one, top aide Geoff Garin writes in the Washington Post, railing against what he calls "the direct, personal character attacks that the Obama campaign has leveled against Clinton from the beginning of this race." In addition, he charges, the candidate "has joined the character assault from time to time."

Garin doesn't actually use the word "hypocrisy," but he's in the neighborhood, accusing the Obama campaign of "saying one thing about raising the tone of political discourse but acting quite differently in its treatment of Clinton." She is somehow not allowed to argue that she’s better prepared to “withstand the pressures of the presidency,” Garin complains. (More Barack Obama stories.)
