May 1, 2017, was not a good workday for Austin Crawford. That's when the 22-year-old Oregon man ended up in the news after his co-worker, 26-year-old Scott Iverson, tried to force him Fargo-style into the woodchipper that they used on the job for a Salem tree-trimming company. Crawford's neck and jaw were hurt during the attack, which was stopped by another employee, the Statesman Journal reported at the time. Iverson was arrested and charged with attempted assault and attempted murder, and after pleading guilty to the assault charge, he was sentenced this week to 70 months in prison, per KATU. Crawford said immediately after the attack that it was unprovoked and that he and Iverson didn't have any beef with each other. (More woodchipper stories.)
