Diane Keaton is the latest celebrity to defend Woody Allen from allegations that he sexually molested his adopted daughter in 1992. Keaton—who won the best actress Oscar for her role alongside Allen in 1977's Annie Hall, which Allen also directed—took to Twitter on Monday to describe Allen as her friend. "I continue to believe him," she wrote, per USA Today, sharing a link to a 60 Minutes interview Allen gave in 1992. The same interview—in which Allen claims a bitter divorce kept him from Mia Farrow's Connecticut home, where the alleged abuse is to have taken place—brought Dylan Farrow to tears during a recent interview. "He's lying and he's been lying for so long," Farrow told CBS This Morning, claiming Allen led her to an attic at age 7 and "touched my labia and my vulva with his finger."

Like Keaton, Alec Baldwin and Scarlett Johansson have defended Allen, though Mira Sorvino and Natalie Portman are among the celebrities who say they believe Farrow's account. So, too, it seems does Judd Apatow. Responding to Keaton's tweet Monday, Apatow described Allen as "so awful" to the Farrow family, per Deadline. "I see a man who wanted what he wanted," he added in a tweet referencing Allen's romantic relationship with stepdaughter Soon-Yi Previn, which prompted his divorce from Mia Farrow. He "didn't care that he was having an affair with a 19-year-old when he was 54 … He also took nude photos of this child who he had known since she was nine and left them out for his family to see. Narcissism," Apatow said. Allen continues to deny any wrongdoing, and says "I never molested my daughter." (More Woody Allen stories.)
