Chris Christie has lost one of the perks he enjoyed as New Jersey governor, and sources tell Bloomberg that he found out the hard way. Christie, who left office on Tuesday, tried to use a VIP entrance at Newark Liberty International Airport with his state police detail Thursday morning and was told to use the same TSA screening line as everybody else, the sources say. CBS New York reports that the order came from Port Authority police, who escorted Christie to the standard entrance. The former governor is entitled to a state police detail for six months after leaving office. Christie disputes the story, saying a Port Authority officer led him to one entrance and then took him to another one after the TSA told him he had gone to the wrong place, NJ.com reports.
