A 29-year-old sports reporter who went missing over the weekend in Houston has been located by police and is apparently unharmed. "Our officers have found (Courtney) Roland in the Galleria area," tweeted the police department, referring to a city shopping complex. The HPD says Roland "appears unharmed," but would be taken to a hospital for evaluation. Police provided no further details. Roland's friends and family reported her missing on Sunday, after she texted a friend about a suspicious man following her, reports SI.com. A friend says she received a text from Roland about 12:30am Sunday saying that a blue truck had followed her home from a Walgreens and pulled up behind her in her driveway. Roland said the truck sped off when she exited her vehicle, reports Click2Houston.
That was the last communication from Roland, though her mother received a strange message from Roland's phone later Sunday, saying, "hello the owner of this phone Courtney. I am buying an iPad." Roland had last been seen walking alone in a store at the Galleria about 5:40pm Sunday, reports the Houston Chronicle. Police found her vehicle in a parking lot near the Galleria early Monday.
