The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is making an offer to NFL players in response to the national anthem protests. The office says players are welcome to ride along with deputies during patrol shifts in the California county, the Fresno Bee reports. "We welcome the opportunity to share what we do and also want to hear the concerns of athletes. By working together, hopefully we can gain a better understanding of all viewpoints," the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post, adding that they "work 24/7/365, so we can definitely accommodate your schedule." The protests began last year when then-49er Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the national anthem, citing police violence against black people. (Some fans were angered by a request from the Green Bay Packers.)
