In between dating actresses and fending off future killer robots, Elon Musk is hard at work as the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and he just made a big announcement regarding the latter. Musk posted on Instagram early Wednesday the first official photo of the SpaceX spacesuit, which he noted is an actual working model. "Was incredibly hard to balance esthetics and function. Easy to do either separately," he writes of the suit, which the Verge describes as "very white and very spacey." The site notes that the spacesuit will be worn by NASA astronauts when SpaceX begins shuttling people to and from the International Space Station and that it's only designed for wear inside the Dragon capsule, not for strolling around in outer space.

And toward that end, the suit seems to be ready, per Musk, who notes it's been "already tested to double vacuum pressure." Space attire devotees are already weighing in, with TechCrunch noting the suit looks "svelte and tight to the body," while Engadget praises the "simple" design of "minimal grey lines and patches that sit nicely alongside its traditional white coloring"; it adds that the spacesuit was crafted by the same costume designer who worked up outfits for DC and Marvel superheroes in Batman vs. Superman and Captain America: Civil War. The wide-windowed helmet also seems to boast "plenty of visibility." Musk promised in his Instagram post that more details would come "in days to follow." (More Elon Musk stories.)
