It can be hard to stand out from the pack on online dating sites, but a 21-year-old from San Diego has found a way to make her mark. Complex says "everyone can give up and go home now," because the Tinder bio of the woman who ID's herself only as "Lauren" is that good. Lauren tells BuzzFeed that she lost one of her arms in a moped accident last year, surviving only because a quick-thinking police officer had just finished training in applying tourniquets. "I remember I asked [him], 'Hey, am I gonna die?' and he said, 'No, you'll be fine,'" she recalls. Despite losing her arm up to her shoulder, she's since recovered and has been more than fine, even finding the humor in her situation.
That includes in her Tinder profile, which has been gaining fans on Reddit and other social media sites. As one tweet shows, Lauren's bio includes a picture of her over a caption that lists her occupation as "arms dealer" and a description of herself as "hands down the best catch on tinder." She also assigns herself a numerical ranking, giving herself a 10 out of 10 for her face, a 9 out of 10 for her body, a whopping 20 out of 10 for her personality, and … a 1 out of 2 for "arms." "For a while I wasn't OK with the jokes, but then I started telling the jokes, and it's kind of helped," Lauren tells BuzzFeed, which posts some of her more humorous tweets. The best part is that Lauren doesn't even remember posting that Tinder bio. "I got home pretty drunk, and I don't remember typing it up," she says. "I just woke up to someone DM'ing me."
