After what the Washington Post calls "copiously combing through binders full of women across corporate America" in a search for a woman CEO to repair its sexist image, Uber has apparently come up with three names—all of them white guys. Rejected by the likes of Sheryl Sandberg, Meg Whitman, and even its own board member Arianna Huffington, the ride-sharing company is down to a shortlist that contains many more Y chromosomes than many had hoped, though the only name the Post could divine was Jeffrey Immelt, the outgoing exec of GE. And that might just be for the best in this case, according to an advocate for women in technology: "As much as I would love to see more women chief executives, too often women get the cleanup jobs, and I’d prefer to not always see women get the cleanup jobs."
