Kathy Griffin has lost all of her locks, but it's apparently for a good cause. Us Weekly reports on the comedian's new smooth noggin, shown via a tweet Monday by journalist Yashar Ali, who notes Griffin shaved her head "in solidarity with her sister, who is going through chemo." Griffin's mom, Maggie, was shown in a second photo with her hand on her daughter's head, and she sent out her own tweet: "My daughter Kathleen Mary is a wonderful human being."
Us notes Griffin hasn't confirmed her reasons for the buzz or publicly named anyone in her family who has cancer, but if Ali's tweet is true, she only has one sister, Joyce. People also mentions Joyce, as well as Griffin's older brother Gary, who died in 2014 of esophageal cancer. (Meanwhile, on the Trump administration front, Griffin says she's been "completely exonerated.")
