Protests against Kremlin corruption swept across Russia on Sunday, with thousands gathering in one Moscow square alone where opposition leader Alexei Navalny was arrested, reports CNN. Navalny sought to downplay his arrest—though between 100 and 200 were said to have been detained—tweeting, "Today we are discussing (and condemning) corruption, not the detentions. Well, I was detained. So what. It ok. There are things in life that are worth being detained for." At issue is a report from Navalny's group that claims PM Dmitry Medvedev has collected riches that include yachts, mansions, vineyards, and a widely mocked house for raising ducks. "Navalny has united people who think the same; that people don't agree with the authorities is obvious from what is going on in the country today," one 19-year-old protester tells the AP. "I am a bit scared." (More Alexei Navalny stories.)
