You just want to look away when the dresser falls on 2-year-old Brock Shoff in a now-viral video on YouTube—but it's what happens after that that makes this video literally uplifting. As Fox News reports, Brock and his twin brother, Bowdy, can be seen playing unattended, climbing into the dresser's drawers, when the piece of furniture suddenly topples, trapping Brock's head and torso underneath. After an initial, futile push, Bowdy seems confused and helpless as his wailing brother eventually wiggles his head out but remains trapped underneath. Bowdy wanders around the dresser, looking as if he's trying to figure out how to free his sibling.
Finally, he moves back to his original pushing point and gives a couple more hard, determined shoves, giving Brock enough room to roll out from under the dresser. Dad Ricky Shoff posted the video on Facebook on Sunday, noting he was "a little hesitant" to put it up, but then decided it was more important to bring awareness so that other parents remember to secure furniture to the wall. "We are so grateful for the bond that these twin brothers share," the Utah father writes. "We know Bowdy was not alone in moving the dresser off of Brock. And feel blessed that he is ok." (Ikea recently paid out $50 million to families of kids killed by their falling dressers.)
