New York Giants’ QB Eli Manning will marry his college love in New York later this month, family sources told the New York Post. Manning, 27, and Abby McGrew, 24, picked up their marriage license in Manhattan this week, onlookers said. McGrew’s father and Manning’s brother (Cooper, not the famous one) confirmed the upcoming ceremony. “It’s towards the end of April,” said Tom McGrew. “It’s private.”
The wedding will be “low-key,” said a family friend, fitting for the shy quarterback. Manning and McGrew attended the University of Mississippi together, and since then they’ve been “inseparable,” the Post notes. Eli proposed to Abby, an account executive for a wedding-dress and evening-wear designer, in March 2007; less than a year later, he led the Giants to a Super Bowl victory over the heavily favored Patriots.
