Fatah and Hamas agreed on a ceasefire today for the fifth time in a week, hitting the pause button on a situation that threatens the Palestinian Authority's coalition government. Meanwhile, air strikes in and out of Israel continued, and a source told the Sunday Times of London that Israel was preparing to invade Gaza.

Dozens have died in what is a effectively three-sided conflict, and Israel accuses Hamas of cranking up its attacks on Israel in an attempt to unite the Palestinians against a common enemy. President Mahmoud Abbas, a member of Fatah, will meet with the Palestinian PM, a Hamas member, "in the next few days," one negotiator told CNN. (More Hamas stories.)
