What’s the deal with brake lines? Jerry Seinfeld found his suddenly inoperable Saturday night, leading to a spectacular rollover crash in the swanky Hamptons, the New York Post reports. With the car careening out of control, Seinfeld swerved sharply to avoid sailing into an intersection, and the car flipped—a maneuver the police chief said “probably avoided a very serious accident.”
Seinfeld was unhurt, and unfazed by his brush with death. “Because I know there are kids out there, I want to make sure they all know that driving without braking is not something I recommend, unless you have professional clown training or a comedy background, as I do,” he quipped. The avid car collector, who owns 47 or so Porsches, was driving a 1967 Fiat. (More Jerry Seinfeld stories.)
