As ordered by a judge in August, Hillary Clinton replied under oath this week to questions submitted by the right-wing legal group Judicial Watch about her use of a private email server, the AP reports. Clinton didn't say much new in her written answers that she hadn't already said on the record. In fact, she didn't say much of anything at all. Clinton used some form of "does not recall" 21 times in answer to the 25 questions. A typical response: "She does not recall being advised, cautioned, or warned, she does not recall that it was ever suggested to her, and she does not recall participating in any communication, conversation, or meeting in which it was discussed."
Topics on which she didn't recall include hacking, attempted hacking, and having any reason to use a personal email server besides convenience, Politico reports. Furthermore, Clinton submitted legal objections to 18 of the questions and added eight legal objections to the process in general. She signed her answers Monday "under penalty of perjury," NPR reports. The president of Judicial Watch, which has been going back and forth with the Clintons for more than 20 years, says Clinton's answers once again show her "disdain for the rule of law." A Clinton campaign spokesperson argues these were the same questions Clinton has been asked multiple times for more than a year, and she's given the same answers. (More Hillary Clinton stories.)
