Trump Promises 'Major' Immigration Speech

After days of confusion, speculation, and suggestions of a "stunning reversal," Donald Trump appears to be almost ready to cIarify his stance on immigration. "I will be making a major speech on ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION on Wednesday in the GREAT State of Arizona," he tweeted Sunday. "Big crowds, looking for a larger venue." Trump has angered some conservatives with recent suggestions that he might back down from his plan to deport all 11 million undocumented immigrants in the US, the Hill reports. • In another tweet Sunday, Trump called for "Crooked Hillary" to release detailed medical records and said he would have no problem releasing his own, CNN reports. Trump's doctor recently revealed that he spent just five minutes writing a letter praising the candidate's health.

• The New York Times reports that the Democrats are working to make the most of Trump's unpopularity by targeting House seats to flip in an effort to reduce the GOP's 30-seat majority—and even regain control if his poll numbers continue to slide, dragging GOP candidates down with him.
• According to Politico, Trump may have already switched focus from trying to win to trying to poison Clinton's presidency, portraying her as "a brain-damaged crook who stole the election and will spend the next four years selling out the government from her deathbed."
• The AP reports that the Trump campaign has made its biggest ad buy yet: $10 million in nine swing states, including New Hampshire, Virginia, Iowa, Colorado, and Nevada. The ads are expected to start airing as soon as Monday.
• The Washington Post looks at the voting group Trump has the biggest problem with: Catholics. Polls show that there has been a massive 25-point swing to the Democrats among Catholic voters, compared to 2012. Those numbers probably weren't helped by his feud with Pope Francis.
