And attendees at a Metallica concert held last weekend at the stadium took to social media to talk about the noise level (possibly because they couldn't hear each other speak). "I think I've suffered long-term hearing damage," GMA quotes one fan.
The stadium boasts the "largest, transparent ethylene-tetraflouroethylene roof in the nation." The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority says that "should make the stadium louder" because the material is "more acoustically reflective." A hearing specialist notes the level of noise in the Vikings' new stadium could be dangerous, especially to people who make a habit of attending games or concerts there.
