Pokemon Players Fall Off Cliff, Others Find More Bodies

The unraveling of society is continuing apace following the release of Pokemon Go. The Los Angeles Times reports two men playing the insanely popular augmented reality game fell off a bluff Wednesday in Encinitas, California. One fell 50 feet and was knocked unconscious; the other fell between 75 and 100 feet. Both suffered moderate injuries after climbing over a fence near the bluffs, presumably to catch Pokemon. “I think people just need to realize this is a game,” one law enforcement officer says. In Ohio, two adults were arrested for allegedly jumping the fence at the Toledo Zoo while it was closed, reports the Toledo Blade. "It wasn't the most responsible thing to do, but hey, gotta catch 'em all," 25-year-old Robin Bartholomy says. "There are so many stops in there, and so many Pokemon," 26-year-old Adrian Crawford adds. The two are now banned from the zoo.

Meanwhile, it seems Pokemon Go players continue to find almost as many dead bodies as digital monsters. A man playing the game Thursday afternoon in Nashua, New Hampshire, found a body floating in a brook, reports WHDH. Police are investigating. Another dead body was found by three girls playing Pokemon Go Thursday in San Diego's Marian Bear Memorial Park, according to KGTV. "I looked down and I saw the legs, the bones of a dead body with no feet and no ankles and it looked like they had been chewed," one girl says.
