Want to attend Trump University? Well, it's currently shuttered and embroiled in two lawsuits claiming fraud at the school—allegations revived Saturday in a biting, fake infomercial by Hillary Clinton's campaign, Time reports. "Donald Trump is world-famous for making a fortune from being famous for having a fortune," says the video's narrator. "Now you, too, can be a source of Trump's wealth with Trump University." Mixing cheesy graphics with real news footage, the video reviews allegations that Trump U pressured students to pay for courses by maxing out credit cards, taught students less than advertised, and leaned on former students to give glowing reviews.
But it's done as if the allegations will make you want to join. "Pay for Trump University at the amazing price of everything you have!" the narrator gushes. "You won't actually learn anything. It's that easy." The video also quotes officials and media sources who call the university "a scheme," "slimy and sleazy," and "fraud ... just straight-up fraud." Seems it's part of Clinton's recent pivot to a general-election strategy, CNN reports. Trump "is trying to scam America the way he scammed all those people at Trump University," she said earlier this month in Newark, NJ. (Trump turned heads by saying the judge in his Trump U case has a "conflict" because he's "Mexican.")
