Surprisingly, not a story about a metaphor: Police in Washington state were able to easily track down a suspect because he had a monkey on his back. More precisely, a marmoset, the Seattle Times reports. In a Facebook post, cops in Burien say a 30-year-old man was traveling at 112mph on Highway 509 when he got off at an exit and smacked his car into a big rock in a residential front yard. Witnesses say he emerged from the car unharmed, began running away, then returned to the car to get his monkey, which he placed on his back. He fled again, but officers soon nabbed him because, as a police captain says, "There's not a lot of people running around with monkeys on their back." They charged the man with leaving the scene of an accident and called his mom to come get the monkey. (More weird crimes stories.)
